Last week the Lazy Line plays were 1-1, but the losing Browns were a 2-unit play while the winning Colts were a 1-unit play.

Since we started posting Lazy Line plays in week #13, we’ve gone 5-4 against the spread (ATS) with 9 units of profit and 6 units of losses. Now we head to the treacherous final 2 weeks of the regular season, where some teams begin resting starters and others stop trying hard to win. The picks….

Saints at Panthers -2.5 points
Lazy Line: Saints -1. Saints are a play for 2 units.
Comments: Over the past few years, Drew Brees has lit up the Tampa-2 coverage employed by Ron Rivera and the Panthers. Expect a shootout, and expect the Saints to prevail. Also, Saints coach Sean Payton spent the week kicking butt in the clubhouse after an embarrassing road loss in St. Louis. The Saints will be focused on Sunday.

Patriots at Ravens -2-5 points
Lazy Line: Ravens -6. Ravens are a play for 1 unit.
Comments: Pats are 31st or so in the NFL in the red zone. Ravens haven’t been running the ball well, but the Pats haven’t found a run defense since Wilfork went down. As much as we fear betting against Belichick, we see at least a few situational advantages for the Ravens to go with their home-field edge and extra playoff-related urgency.
