“The best Derby bargain anywhere!”

The 2015 Lazy Bettor Kentucky Derby Preview lived up to its promo. In the guide I listed three horses who fit the Gold Standard that appears in my book, The Lazy Bettor’s Guide to the Kentucky Derby. Those horses ran 1st, 2nd and 3rd!

But wait! There’s more!

The 2015 Derby Preview also correctly predicted the following:

  • American Pharoah was the horse to beat.
(“American Pharoah’s overall figures are clearly the best.”)
  • Firing Line’s win in the Sunland Derby made him the 2nd best horse in the field.
(“Here’s the ranking. . .American Pharoah, Firing Line, Dortmund”)
  • High-Beyer horses Materiality and Upstart would perform poorly.
(“Most likely Materiality and the Florida Derby runnerup Upstart won’t run well in the Kentucky Derby.”)
  • High-BRIS speed figure horses Frosted and Tencendur would perform poorly.
  • Noted that the best finish by a Wood Memorial runner since 2006 is 4th place. This year’s Wood winner, Frosted, ran 4th.
  • The Arkansas Derby and the Sunland Derby were the top prep races.
  • Dortmund would be the Gold Standard horse most likely to tire in the stretch.
(“. . .his final furlong of 13.05 seconds in the Santa Anita Derby rates as very slow.”)
  • Horses from the Wood Memorial would continue to disappoint.
(“The Wood has become a testing ground for weak winter stakes horses up north and a last-chance dance for disappointing stakes runners from Florida.”)

All that for $2.49 at Smashwords.com! Such a deal!
